Senior Programs

The JCC's Older Adult Program, known as "SPICE of Life" programs for adults are social, physical, intellectual, cultural and educational.  Weekly programming includes Monday's Fitness Fun Exercise class, homemade lunch, and Creative Writing Group; Tuesday's Quilting and Mah Jongg groups; Thursday's Fitness Fun Exercise class, guest presentations and entertainment, homemade luncheon, Current Events discussion and Literary groups; and Friday's Yiddish groups.

Intergenerational activities are held with the JCC Early Childhood Center, Hebrew Day School and U-M Hillel students.  Interested older adults are paired with U-M Project Outreach students.

The older adults director provides information and referrals to seniors considering moving to Washtenaw County and to their adult children.  The JCC Older Adult Programs, a resource for information and involvement, welcomes newcomers moving into the Ann Arbor area, as well as all who want to add some SPICE to their lives.
