Guest Speaker Marting Stolzenberg and Dessert ReceptionDate: May 22, 2014Time: 7:00 pm
Martin Stolzenberg will speak at the Ann Arbor JCC in a talk titled, 'My Future Is Behind Me.' This is a personal voyage that details how he took small risks by looking into his past. He found renewed interests that, once implemented, brought lots of personal satisfaction--today. In his seventies he became an assistant basketball coach at a local high school, a columnist in a local newspaper and speech writer. It gradually dawned on him there was no coincidence on his late in life achievements, that his accomplishments were all linked together. There is much that he has done that is readily transferable and adaptable by others.
Martin not only tells his story, but also those of others he knows. Then he goes on to help the audience dig otu their past treasures and make plans to incorporate them into their everyday lives. Those of you who heard Martin at the JCC Book Festival several years ago, when he spoke about his memoir, Through Brooklyn Eyes, know that he is engaging, funny and insightful.
